Two franchises, 190 combined years of professional football.

The Green Bay Packers, established in 1919, and the New York Giants, whose first season was in 1925, face each other once again in an NFC Wild-Card Playoff game at Lambeau Field on Sunday. The game kicks off at 4:40 ET and it will be aired on FOX.

This will be the 61st meeting between the teams in a rivalry that dates back to 1928. The teams met in 5 of the then-NFL Championship games (1938, 1939, 1944, 1961, 1962), with Green Bay winning all but the 1938 contest.

More recently, Sunday’s showdown will be the third playoff meeting since 2008. The Giants won the previous two — both in Green Bay — en route to Super Bowl titles. The Packers and Giants played each other at Lambeau in Week 5 this season, a 23-16 Green Bay victory.
