The stakes are high ahead of the 2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational, and Collin Morikawa appears ready to meet them.
The PGA Tour pro returns to Bay Hill Club one year after a two-stroke lead on the back nine evaporated, leaving him runner-up to Russell Henley. Now, Morikawa has a win on his resume in 2026 as he returns to the Arnold Palmer Invitational for a revenge run.
Now, Morikawa is a long shot at DraftKings to win, and he’s facing stiff competition. (More on them later.) However, oddsmakers like his chances of finishing in the top 10. And there is a lot to like about his game as he aims to top the leaderboard in Orlando this weekend.
Collin Morikawa Odds for the Arnold Palmer Invitational
Ahead of Round 1 tee times, Morikawa is a +2700 (27-1) long shot to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational. However, he is listed at much shorter +440 odds to finish in the top five. He is listed at a very favorable +200 to finish in the top 10.
So, what makes Collin Morikawa a likable bet even as a long shot? His victory at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am last month showed he has gotten his groove back.
The world No. 5 golfer hadn’t won a PGA Tour event since the ZOZO Championship in October 2023. The back half of his 2025 campaign was rough: He missed the cut at both the Scottish Open and the Open Championship, and he failed to finish in the top 20 to end the year. To kick off 2026, he missed the cut at the Sony Open and finished T54 at the Phoenix Open.
Then, the tide turned at Pebble Beach as Morikawa shot a third-round 62 and held on to finish ahead of big guns like Scottie Scheffler. Morikawa followed up the win with a T7 finish at the Genesis Invitational.
“Whether it was a slight swing refinement or renewed mental clarity, Collin Morikawa rediscovered his trademark precision at Pebble Beach,” Golf Digest said. “His approach play since, arguably the finest in the world, has returned to its elite standard.”
The PGA Tour main site agrees. “After breaking his almost 900-day drought with his victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Collin Morikawa responded with a T7 finish the following week at The Genesis Invitational, reminding investors he is not yet satisfied.”
Betting Favorites at the Arnold Palmer Invitational
No big shocker here: Scheffler is the +335 favorite at DK to win the 2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational. The world No. 1 won at Bay Hill in 2022 and 2024, and finished solo fourth in 2023. Scheffler kicked off the year with three top-10 finishes, including a season-opening win at the American Express. However, his T12 finish at the Genesis Invitational ended his streak of 18 consecutive trips inside the top 10, so he could be extra motivated.
Rory McIlroy is next on the list at +980 odds to win and at -105 to finish in the top 10. The Irishman has six top-10 finishes in his last nine appearances at Bay Hill and won the Arnold Palmer by three shots in 2018.
Reigning FedEx Cup champion Tommy Fleetwood has never won the Arnold Palmer, but is listed at +1800 odds to top the leaderboard. Xander Schauffele, who played the event injured last year, sits at +2050. Matt Fitzpatrick rounds out the top-five golfers at +2200 odds to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
