March Madness Schedule Today: NCAA Tournament Round 2 Games, TV Times and Sweet 16 Bracket Update

The NCAA men’s basketball tournament continues Sunday with eight Round 2 games that will determine the final teams advancing to the Sweet 16.

Saturday’s action produced several notable results, including an upset by No. 11 Texas over No. 3 Gonzaga and a close matchup between Nebraska and Vanderbilt. No. 12 High Point also challenged No. 4 Arkansas late before Arkansas secured the win.

Now, the focus shifts to Sunday’s schedule as several top programs look to extend their tournament runs. The remaining Round 2 games will determine the final eight teams advancing to the Sweet 16.


NCAA Tournament Schedule Today: Sunday Game Times and TV Channels

Sunday’s Round 2 slate features eight games across multiple television networks. All times are Eastern.

12:10 p.m. — No. 2 Purdue vs. No. 7 U of Miami (Florida) on CBS
2:45 p.m. — No. 2 Iowa State vs. No. 7 Kentucky on CBS
5:15 p.m. — No. 4 Kansas vs. No. 5 St. John’s on CBS
6:10 p.m. — No. 3 Virginia vs. No. 6 Tennessee on TNT
7:10 p.m. — No. 1 Florida vs. No. 9 Iowa on TBS
8:45 p.m. — No. 2 UConn vs. No. 7 UCLA on TNT
9:45 p.m. — No. 4 Alabama vs. No. 5 Texas Tech on TBS

Each matchup will determine which teams advance to the regional semifinals, commonly known as the Sweet 16.

Several games feature closely matched seeds, including the Kansas vs.

St. John’s matchup and the Alabama vs. Texas Tech game later in the evening.

Other games include higher-seeded programs attempting to hold off lower-seeded opponents looking to continue their tournament runs.


March Madness Sweet 16 Bracket Update and Regional Matchups

Some Sweet 16 matchups have already been set following Saturday’s games.

In the Midwest region, No. 1 Michigan advanced and will face the winner of the Alabama vs. Texas Tech game in Chicago.

In the East region, No. 1 Duke will play the winner of Kansas vs. St. John’s in Washington, D.C. No. 3 Michigan State has also advanced and will face the winner of UConn vs. UCLA.

The South region features No. 2 Houston, awaiting the winner of the Illinois vs. VCU matchup. That regional semifinal will take place in Houston.

In the West region, No. 11 Texas advanced and will face the winner of Purdue vs. Florida. No. 4 Arkansas will play the winner of Arizona vs. Utah State.

The remaining Round 2 games on Sunday will finalize the Sweet 16 field and determine the remaining regional matchups.


March Madness Round 2 Results From Saturday

Saturday’s Round 2 action included several decisive victories and one major upset.

No. 1 Michigan defeated No. 9 Saint Louis 95–72.
>No. 3 Michigan State beat No. 6 Louisville 77–66.
>No. 1 Duke advanced with an 81–58 win over No. 9 TCU.
>No. 2 Houston defeated No. 10 Texas A&M 88–57.

One of the most notable results came when No. 11 Texas defeated No. 3 Gonzaga 74–68 to advance.

Elsewhere, No. 3 Illinois beat No. 11 VCU 76–55, while No. 4 Nebraska edged No. 5 Vanderbilt 74–72.

No. 4 Arkansas also advanced with a 94–88 win over No. 12 High Point after a competitive game late Saturday night.
