On Sunday, the Atlanta Braves will conclude their series with the Colorado Rockies in Denver.
The Braves have won each of the first two games, so they are looking to go for the sweep.
That said, Ronald Acuña Jr. got hurt during Saturday’s game.
The Braves wrote (via X): “OF Ronald Acuña Jr. was removed from tonight’s game with left hamstring tightness.”

On Sunday, the Braves announced the latest news on Acuña Jr.
They have also brought up another outfielder.
The Braves wrote (via X): “The #Braves today returned RHP Spencer Strider from his rehabilitation assignment and reinstated him from the injured list after optioning RHP Hunter Stratton to Triple-A Gwinnett following last night’s game. Additionally, the club selected OF José Azócar to the major league roster and placed OF Ronald Acuña Jr. on the 10-day injured list with a strained left hamstring.”
Acuña Jr. is batting .252 with 32 hits, two home runs, nine RBI’s, 17 runs and seven stolen bases in 34 games.
The five-time All-Star is in the middle of his ninth season (all with the Braves).
Who Is José Azócar?
Azócar is coming off a season where he played in 14 games for the New York Mets (and Braves).
Before that, the 29-year-old had spent the first three seasons of his MLB career with the San Diego Padres.
Over 228 career games, Azócar is batting .244 with two home runs, 22 RBI’s, 58 runs and 19 stolen bases.
Braves Right Now
The Braves come into Saturday as the first-place team in the National League East with a 24-10 record in 34 games.
They are 12-4 in the 16 games they have played on the road away from Truist Park.
After the Rockies, the Braves will open up a series with the Seattle Mariners (in Washington) that starts on Monday.
The Braves will then have a three-game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers before returning home on May 12 to host the Chicago Cubs.
Last season, they missed the 2025 MLB playoffs.
