The Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers are set to wrap up their three-game weekend series on Sunday evening. Milwaukee is looking to sweep Atlanta and further extend their stranglehold on MLB’s best record.
However, instead of it being a normal ‘Sunday Night Baseball’ game, the Braves and Brewers will square off in the annual edition of the Little League Classic. The Brewers will be the home team for the classic, which will feature several kids in attendance who are participating in the Little League World Series (which began this week).
So, where is the Little League Classic actually being played?

The first-ever MLB Little League Classic was played in 2017, and besides the COVID-shortened 2020 campaign, it’s been held as an annual event on the MLB calendar ever since.
The Braves and Brewers will conclude their series on Sunday, August 23, at 7:00 p.m. ET at Journey Bank Ballpark as Historic Bowman Field.
ESPN is broadcasting the event, so the game between the Brewers and Braves can be viewed on all linear stations regarding ESPN (ESPN2, ESPN+, ESPN App).

“As in years past, the game will be played in Journey Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field, which is the home of the Williamsport Crosscutters of the MLB Draft League. The ballpark, which opened in 1926 and hosted Minor League games for years, was renovated prior to the inaugural MLB Little League Classic in 2017 to meet Major League standards.”

Here are the starting lineups for both the Milwaukee Brewers and Atlanta Braves, per @UnderdogMLB:
Tyler Mahle (4–10, 4.53 ERA, 108 SO) will get the start for Atlanta, and Shane Drohan is set to get the ball for Milwaukee (6–4, 3.86 ERA, 99 SO).
This Little League Classic is a little bit different from years past in terms of the teams playing in it.
The Braves and Brewers are both top of their division and have clear World Series aspirations. Atlanta, which was recently 9.5 games up in the NL East, now carries just a 2.5-game lead in the division.
The Brewers, on the other hand, hold MLB’s best record with an 81-49 mark and have a seven-game lead in the NL Central over the Chicago Cubs.
Enjoy the excitement in the Little League Classic in what should be a great baseball game!
