The start of the 2026 season has been a complete disaster for the Philadelphia Phillies. They are currently at the bottom of the National League East standings with a 9-19 record and have won only one out of their last 10 games.

Now, due to this, the Phillies are making a manager change.

The Phillies have announced that they have fired Rob Thomson. In addition, Philadelphia shared that Don Mattingly will be Philadelphia’s interim manager.

Seeing Philadelphia make this switch is not surprising in the slightest. Their start this season has been far too poor, and they will now be hoping that Mattingly can help get them back into the right direction.
