Tyler Reddick’s victory at Atlanta Motor Speedway delivered another strong result for 23XI Racing and its co-owner, Michael Jordan. The team followed its Daytona 500 win from the previous week with a second straight NASCAR Cup Series victory, placing the organization at the center of the early season.
While Reddick controlled the closing sprint, much of the attention also focused on Jordan, who watched from pit road as both 23XI cars stayed in contention during the final stretch of the race.
Michael Jordan Tracks Race As 23XI Racing Cars Fight Up Front
Michael Jordan remained on pit road during the closing laps while Reddick and Bubba Wallace ran near the front. With both cars still in contention, Jordan followed the action closely as the race moved into overtime and the field prepared for late restarts.
During a live broadcast interview, Michael Jordan highlighted the team’s effort and the chance to secure another win.
“Well, it’s fun to be part of 23XI. Obviously, I’m part of that too, but the guys are really doing well. They’re fighting hard, trying to get us another win. We still have two chances right now, so let’s see what happens.”
As Reddick surged forward late in the race after running deeper in the field earlier, Jordan reacted to the unexpected charge toward the front.
“I have no idea. The last time I looked, he was 18th or 20th. I was thinking, okay, let’s just finish the race, a DNF is what we don’t want. Then here he comes, fighting to the front. He’s really pushing that car, but he’s up there now. He can help Bubba if needed, and he could even win it himself. So let’s see what happens. Hopefully, he can pull it off.”
Despite cold temperatures and wind at the track, Jordan stayed outside to watch the finish unfold.
“Yeah, I’m so hyped I don’t even feel the cold right now. If I’m going to stay out here, we might as well go ahead and win.”
“I’m right here. I’m not leaving.”
Back-To-Back Wins Put 23XI Racing In Early Spotlight
Reddick’s Atlanta win gave 23XI Racing victories in the first two NASCAR Cup Series races of the 2026 season. The result followed the team’s Daytona 500 triumph one week earlier and marked the first time since 2009 that a team opened the season with wins in both events.
Michael Jordan co-founded 23XI Racing with Denny Hamlin. Since entering the series, the organization has expanded its program and continued to build competitive results. The consecutive wins pushed the team to the top of the standings and strengthened its early championship position.
Both Reddick and Wallace left Atlanta with strong point totals after two races, reinforcing the team’s consistent performance across the opening stretch of the schedule.
Tyler Reddick Overcomes Late Damage To Secure Victory
While Michael Jordan watched from pit road, Reddick handled the decisive moments on track. The No. 45 Toyota ran near the front for much of the night but suffered body damage during contact with Wallace on the first overtime restart. The incident removed part of the fender and exposed the right-front tire as it headed into the final run.
Reddick maintained control despite the damage. He executed the next restart cleanly, stayed steady in the draft, and protected the lead during the final sprint to the checkered flag. Briscoe closed in during the last stretch, but Reddick held the advantage to secure the win.
