After the game, Jokic was very honest when asked about his future (h/t ESPN’s Anthony Slater).

Social Media Reacts To Nuggets Losing

GettyNikola Jokic #15 of the Denver Nuggets calls a play during the first half of a game against the Utah Jazz at the Delta Center on April 1, 2026 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Brett Siegel: “I’d be very surprised if one of Aaron Gordon, Cam Johnson, or Christian Braun aren’t moved by Denver this summer. Hard to imagine they’d move Gordon unless they get a huge deal for him, but those other two will certainly be brought up, especially with Peyton Watson being a RFA.”
Kevin O’Connor: “Jamal Murray had the best regular season of his career and Nikola Jokic received MVP votes. But they were both so bad during the playoffs. Jokic and Murray falling short in the playoffs again, plus the lack of impactful moves that can be made to improve the roster, naturally has to raise serious questions about how open the contention window really is for Denver.”
Vinny Benedetto: “Weird twist – Nikola Jokic is first to the press conference. David Adelman typically speaks before any player.”
Clemente Almanza: “This should be Jokic’s LeBron 2011 Finals moment. Now will it be treated that way is the real question. Or will it get forgotten about like his stinker series against OKC last year?”
Jake Shapiro: “I’ve long championed Nikola Jokic… but this is the first summer fans in Denver will be upset with him. Rightfully so… meanwhile his Supermax isn’t signed. Fascinating contrast.”
