Lakers Announce Roster Move Before Mavs Game

Before Sunday’s game, the Lakers have announced that Thiero has been recalled to the NBA.
Trevor Lane of Lakers Nation wrote: “The Los Angeles Lakers have recalled forward Adou Thiero from the South Bay Lakers.”
Thiero is averaging 1.4 points per contest while shooting 45.5% from the field in his first 21 NBA games for the Lakers.
He was the 36th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft out of Arkansas.

Thiero’s Background

Thiero played his college basketball at Kentucky (and Arkansas).
During his final season, he had averages of 15.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 54.5% from the field and 25.6% from three-point range in 27 games.

Lakers And Mavs

The Lakers are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 50-27 record in 77 games.
They have won eight out of their last ten games (and are 24-15 on the road).
Following the Mavs, the Lakers will return home to host the Thunder on Tuesday night.
Currently, the Lakers are dealing with a lot of injuries, as they will be without Austin Reaves and Luka Doncic for an extended period.
ESPN’s Shams Charania wrote (on April 4): “Lakers’ Austin Reaves is expected to miss four to six weeks with the Grade 2 oblique injury, sources tell ESPN. Devastating run of injuries to L.A.’s two leading scorers. Reaves and Luka Doncic are expected to be sidelined to begin the NBA playoffs.”

As for the Mavs, they are the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 24-53 record in 77 games.
