Jose Alvarado’s latest revelation goes beyond basketball, giving Knicks fans a glimpse into the team’s player culture and some behind-the-scenes fun.
After attending Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods’ wedding in Malibu, Alvarado revealed which Knicks teammate owned the dance floor.
Josh Hart Was the Life of the Party

TMZ Sports caught up with Alvarado at LAX on Friday after he returned from Towns and Woods’ star-studded wedding, which featured celebrities including Michael B. Jordan, Kylie Jenner, Timothée Chalamet and Ben Stiller.
Several Knicks players were also in attendance, including Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby, Miles McBride and Alvarado.
Speaking about the atmosphere, Alvarado told TMZ Sports:
“Definitely different to be in that room, but it was dope. You know, everybody, no matter what level you are, everybody’s human, so it was just cool to be around that.” He added, “It was cool to see all those people show up and, you know, come out for our brother.”
Then came the question Knicks fans will probably enjoy the most. Asked who was the best dancer at the wedding, Alvarado gave a simple answer: “Josh Hart.”
Hart has become one of the Knicks’ most entertaining players both on and off the court. His personality regularly creates moments around the team.
In the last season itself, we got a lot of Josh Hart moments, whether it’s an online beef with Stephen A. Smith or just posting random tweets around the league.
Karl-Anthony Towns himself previously praised Hart’s ability to impact games through effort, rebounding and energy rather than scoring.
When Alvarado learned he had been traded to the Knicks, he said Josh Hart was one of the first people he called.
Knicks Need That Chemistry Again

The Hart-Alvarado relationship could matter even more next season. Alvarado quickly became a valuable piece during the championship run, including his eight-point fourth quarter in the Knicks’ stunning Game 4 comeback against San Antonio. He played nearly 10 minutes in the fourth quarter and helped New York erase a 29-point deficit.
New York will need that same energy while trying to defend its championship. The Eastern Conference is unlikely to make that easy. Detroit finished 60-22 last season, Boston went 56-26, Cleveland was 52-30 and New York finished 53-29 before winning the title.
Hart and Alvarado appear to have that connection naturally. If New York can carry that chemistry into another demanding season, while managing its veterans and giving its younger players larger responsibilities, the Knicks should have another legitimate opportunity to compete at the top of the East.
