If you’re starting to get confused over how many people the Baltimore Ravens have interviewed for their head coach opening, don’t worry. It’s not just you. It’s getting to the point where we might all need flow charts and white boards to track this thing.

The latest interview came with an up-and-coming AFC defensive coordinator in 43-year-old Anthony Campanile, who is the 17th person to interview for the Ravens head coach job after John Harbaugh was fired on January 8 after 18 seasons.

Harbaugh was hired by the New York Giants as their new head coach on January 15.

“Jaguars DC Anthony Campanile is interviewing today for the Baltimore Ravens head coach job,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter wrote on his official X account on Monday, January 19.

Campanile turned around Jacksonville’s defense in his one season as coordinator in 2025, leading them to a 13-4 record under first year head coach Liam Coen.

In Campanile’s first season, the Jaguars made a leap from 31st in the NFL in team defense in 2024, when they went 3-14, to 11th in 2025. Campanile was also able to take an underperforming first round pick with inside linebacker Devin Lloyd and turn him into an NFL All-Pro in one year.

“Players absolutely love Anthony Campanile,” The Kevin Harlan Effect wrote on its official X account. “Pure football guy, through and through. If he can build a staff and get himself a great play-caller, he could end up being really special at the helm.”

Tracking All Ravens Head Coach Interviews

To the best of our ability, here is a list of the 17 head coach interviews to this point with the Ravens, along with their current or last jobs:

Ravens Saw Harbaugh Swooped up Quickly

The Ravens fired Harbaugh and watched him immediately become the most sought-after NFL head coach in recent memory, with the Giants ultimately landing him on a reported 5-year, $100 million contract — a deal that essentially gives him complete control over the entire organization.

Harbaugh was fired by Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti after 18 seasons and following a season in which the Giants went 8-9 overall and missed the playoffs after they entered the season as Super Bowl contenders.

In 18 seasons, Harbaugh led the Ravens to the playoffs 13 times and won the Super Bowl following the 2012 season. He takes over in New York for Brian Daboll, who was fired after a 2-8 start and going 20-40-1 in just under 4 seasons.

The Giants beat out the Falcons and Tennessee Titans, who were said to be the the other 2 leading candidates for Harbaugh.
