Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry joined elite company Saturday night, climbing into the NFL’s top 10 on the all-time rushing yards list.
The former Tennessee Titans star surpassed Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett following a dominant first half against the Green Bay Packers, piling up more than 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns before halftime. Henry reached the milestone on the Ravens’ second offensive possession.
Later on the same drive, he scored the 120th rushing touchdown of his career, tying Adrian Peterson for the fourth-most rushing touchdowns in NFL history. He would go on to pass Peterson and finish the game one touchdown behind Marcus Allen for No. 3 on the all-time rushing touchdown list.
Henry finished the night with 216 yards on 36 carries and four touchdowns. He also broke the record for the most 200+ yards games in NFL history, surpassing Peterson and O.J. Simpson.
“I’m just so thankful, I’m so blessed,” Henry said postgame. “Every teammate, coach that has contributed throughout my career for me to have those accolades and the success I had. I’m just very appreciated.”
The 31-year-old has steadily climbed the all-time rushing ranks this season. He finished the night with 12,892 career rushing yards and previously passed Jim Brown on Thanksgiving against the Cincinnati Bengals. Henry now owns 25 games with at least 100 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, tying Brown and LaDainian Tomlinson for the most such performances in league history.
“Growing up hearing those names, idolizing those guys,” Henry said. “My name to be mentioned with theirs is a surreal for me and something I’ll always cherish.”
In his first season with Baltimore last year, Henry rushed for 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns. After Saturday night, he has recorded 1,469 yards and 16 scores this season, continuing to build a Hall of Fame résumé.

With just one game remaining, Henry can not catch No. 9 on the all-time rushing list in Eric Dickerson. But shall he return next season, and rushes at the same pace, he could make his way into the top 6.
The Ravens finish the season at the Pittsburgh Steelers in what could be for the AFC North title depending on what the Steelers do against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
