The Buffalo Bills appear to be headed to training camp with their quarterback depth chart set.
The team brought in a pair of rookie quarterbacks for minicamp last weekend, including a record-setting signal-caller. But the team opted not to offer a contract to either of them, leaving the top three quarterbacks on the depth chart intact.
The Bills had invited rookie quarterback Brady Olson, who was coming off a record-setting career at Central Connecticut State University, to throw at rookie minicamp on Friday and Saturday. The Bills decided not to sign Olson after minicamp, though could take a look back later in the spring or early summer.
As the Bristol Press reported, Olson was excited about getting an invite from the Bills.
“It means a lot, super grateful for the opportunity and really excited to get to Buffalo,” Olson said.
Olson’s agent, Blaise Rosati of NXT ERA Partners, said the quarterback had hoped to be drafted, but understood it was a difficult year for quarterbacks.
“It was a tough draft for quarterbacks with a lot of talent still on the board when the draft ended,” Rosati said. “We’re excited for Brady to get his shot with an organization like the Bills. He’s put in the work to earn it, and we believe he can go in there, compete, and show he belongs. The work is just getting started!”
