The Buffalo Bills took down the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-24 in a thrilling wild-card playoff game on Sunday, January 11.
Not only did the Bills punch their ticket to the divisional round, they achieved a feat the franchise hasn’t accomplished since 1992 — win a road playoff game. The Bills-Jaguars showdown saw four lead changes in the fourth quarter– the most in NFL history.
Allen completed 28-of-35 passes for 273 yards and a touchdown, along with 11 carries for 33 rushing yards and two scores. The reigning MVP left it all on the field today and moved one step closer to making his first-ever Super Bowl appearance.
The Bills will not figure out their next opponent until the NFL’s wild-card round concludes. If the New England Patriots defeat the Los Angeles Chargers, Buffalo will take on the Denver Broncos on the road. If the Chargers win, the Bills travel to face the winner of the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Houston Texans matchup on Monday Night Football.
Josh Allen Is Already Looking At the Bills’ Next Opponent

GettyBills quarterback Josh Allen gainst the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Wild Card Playoff game at EverBank Stadium on January 11, 2026.
Speaking to Kaylee Hartung after defeating the Jaguars at EverBank Stadium, he addressed the Bills breaking the franchise’s drought of not win on the road in the postseason. He barely took a beat to celebrate.
“Gotta go do it again,” Allen said.
For the firs time in six years, the Bills did not clinch the AFC East — a title that went to the Patriots this season. After going 12-5, the Bills clinched the No. 6 seed and must continue to win on the road in order to make it to the Super Bowl.
Whichever team turns out to the be Bills next opponent, Allen and Co. are ready.
