Browns predicted to draft Jordyn Tyson

The Cleveland Browns are expected to pursue some offensive help this offseason, whether that’s through the draft or free agency.

Ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, Cleveland is linked to selecting offensive line help and wide receiver help. Browns insider Zac Jackson of The Athletic expects Cleveland to draft an offensive lineman with the sixth overall pick before drafting a receiver 24th overall.

After Cleveland hosted Jordyn Tyson on a pre-draft visit, Jackson expects the team to land him with the 24th overall pick.

“Lingering hamstring concerns have mock drafters pushing Tyson closer to the bottom of the first round than many projected a month ago,” Jackson wrote. “Tyson would love to land in Cleveland, where his brother, Jaylon, is having a breakout season for the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers. Jordyn Tyson is a big, athletic target — and the kind of true outside receiver the Browns need to find.

“Do I think Tyson being the first reported formal pre-draft visitor to the Browns’ team facility means a lot? No. The Browns wanted to get their visits started quickly, and Tyson has long been a potential fit. But there is a track record of Cleveland landing on players it hosted for visits, and if Tyson slips to No. 24, it’s fair to assume he’ll be on a short list of potential targets.”

Tyson spent the last two years at Arizona State and was a dynamic receiver. He recorded 61 receptions for 711 yards and 8 touchdowns last season, while the year prior, he had 75 receptions for 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns.

If Tyson slips to 24th overall, the Browns would likely select him to bolster their offense.

Tyson has a Cleveland Connection

The Browns hosted Tyson on a visit, and he is eager about the chance of being a Brown.

Tyson’s brother, Jaylon, plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers, so both playing in the same city would be special.

“It just be a blessing, man,” Jordyn told cleveland.com’s Ethan Sands. “It’s kind of hard to describe because we’re not there yet. But if it does happen, man, I’m going to just be so happy every day. Probably never have a bad day, probably work out even more than I already do because that’s what he does.

“So yeah, it’d be amazing just to see him on a day-to-day basis, what he does and then try to implement the same stuff into my work ethic and I think it would be a blessing just for both of us, not only for our careers but just our mental space as a whole.”

Tyson also met with the Browns at the combine, and he said the meeting was amazing.

“Took a lot away,” Jordyn said. “That was one of my last ones, so I was kind of warmed up. It was kind of sitting in the middle room explaining plays and stuff like that. But, yeah, we’re gonna see if they like me or not.”

Cleveland Looking to Build WR Room

The Browns’ offense needs an overhaul, but the team expects Jerry Jeudy to be a big part of the offense.

General manager Andrew Berry said the team likes its wide receiver room and expects Jerry Jeudy to be a key part of it.

“I think we can add all across the offense to be honest,” Berry said. “We’re really pleased with some of the younger players we have. Jerry [Jeudy] is gonna be a big part of it. We’re pleased with Isaiah’s rookie year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t add to the arsenal.

“Malachi [Corley], he carved out a nice role. But we probably look at it more like global weapons and global pass catchers and Harold [Fannin Jr.] would be a part of that, obviously. Q is a weapon for us. You want to look at it as the overall infrastructure as opposed to one position.”

Yet, the team is expected to add some weapons to the offense this offseason.
