The Green Bay Packers get their second preseason test Friday night in Denver, where the Denver Broncos enter as one of the biggest favorites on the Week 2 exhibition slate.

Green Bay is coming off a 28-9 loss to Pittsburgh, but the final score didn’t tell the full story for the quarterbacks.

Jordan Love went 3-of-5 for 18 yards during his brief appearance, while Kyle McCord completed 12 of 16 passes for 102 yards in extended work.

Meanwhile, Denver presents differently.

Bo Nix is scheduled to make his preseason debut after sitting out the Broncos’ 27-7 win over Atlanta, and head coach Sean Payton said the quarterback is expected to play about 14 snaps.

Matt LaFleur also plans to give Love and Green Bay’s starters work.

The Packers and Broncos kick off at 9 p.m. ET, 8 p.m. CT, Friday, Aug. 21, at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver.

NFL Network will carry the matchup nationally.

In Green Bay’s home television territory, the game will also air across the Packers TV Network, led by TODAY’S TMJ4 in Milwaukee and NBC 26 in Green Bay. Denver viewers can watch locally on 9NEWS.

The Packers’ official viewing guide says the team’s preseason network reaches 24 stations across Wisconsin and several surrounding states. The game is also available in Spanish on Telemundo Wisconsin.

NFL+ provides the primary streaming option for fans outside the local markets. The Broncos’ official viewing guide says NFL+ subscribers can watch live out-of-market preseason games, while fans in the Packers’ local home market can also stream through Packers.com.

Green Bay’s radio call will air on the 54-station Packers Radio Network, with 95.7 BIG FM-WRIT serving as the flagship station. SiriusXM will also carry the broadcast.

Packers vs. Broncos Odds & Prediction

At the time of writing, Action Network listed Denver as a 5.5-point favorite, with the Broncos at -238 on the moneyline and Green Bay at +184. The total was 40.5 points.

A DraftKings snapshot published by FOX Sports and updated at 1:46 p.m. ET Friday had moved even further toward Denver, listing the Broncos at -6 with a -245 moneyline and a total of 41.5.

Prediction markets are similarly bullish on Denver.

As of Friday afternoon at 4:46 p.m. Eastern, Kalshi traders priced the Broncos at a 70% chance to win compared with 30% for Green Bay. Polymarket showed nearly the same outlook, with Denver at 71%.

There are reasons for that confidence, as Denver has won eight straight preseason games after controlling Atlanta 27-7 last week.

Jarrett Stidham completed 9 of 15 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown in the opener, and Sam Ehlinger finished 10 of 14 for 67 yards. Adding Nix to that quarterback rotation gives Payton plenty of stability for an exhibition game.

Green Bay’s offense was much less productive in Pittsburgh, but the Packers have enough quarterback depth to keep this competitive. Tyrod Taylor brings 15 years of NFL experience behind Love, and McCord was efficient enough in Week 1 to earn another long look.

The spread is the part that looks aggressive.

Denver deserves to be favored at home, especially with its recent preseason track record and Nix returning, but 5.5 points is a wide cushion when Love and the Packers’ starters are also expected to play.

Both teams also have reasons to keep the playbook controlled, making the under appealing if the total remains above 40.

Prediction: Broncos 20, Packers 17.

Pick: Packers +5.5; lean Under 40.5.
