The Kansas City Chiefs have not enjoyed a very good start to the 2025 campaign, as they have suffered a pair of losses to the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles to start the new season. Frustrations are beginning to boil over, and a new clip of superstar defensive lineman Chris Jones from the team’s Week 2 loss to the Eagles has shown that loud and clear.
In a rematch of Super Bowl LIX, Philadelphia got the better of Kansas City once again, picking up a hard-fought 20-17 victory. On their second touchdown drive, the Eagles frequently used their popular “Tush Push” play to help them make their way down the field, and after Jalen Hurts eventually found his way into the end zone, Jones was fed up.

While the Chiefs were competitive against both the Chargers and Eagles, they ultimately haven’t done enough to win either game. In Week 1, Kansas City’s defense had no answer for Los Angeles’ Justin Herbert-led offense, and in Week 2, the offense could get nothing going against Philadelphia’s defense.
For the most part, the Chiefs‘ defense did a much better job in Week 2, but when they needed stops, they could not deliver the goods. On the Eagles‘ touchdown drive in the third quarter, they managed to punch the football in using their popular “Tush Push” play, which is essentially a quarterback sneak that sees players line up behind Jalen Hurts and help push him forward.
On third & goal, Kansas City initially stuffed Hurts, but Philadelphia simply dialed up the same play and punched the ball in on fourth & goal. After he came off the field, Jones was livid over the Chiefs’ inability to stop the Eagles in short-yardage situations, leading to a fiery NSFW message that quickly went viral on social media.
“They ran the same play seven f***ing times!” Jones angrily exclaimed on the sideline after Hurts’ touchdown.
Chiefs Looking to Pick Up First Win of 2025 in Week 3

Regardless of the play call, the Eagles did what they needed to do to pick up a win over the Chiefs in Week 2. Now, Kansas City finds itself in a tough 0-2 hole to begin the season, and concerns about the team that have never existed during the Patrick Mahomes era are beginning to pop up. Could this be the year where K.C. finally takes a step back after making it to the past three Super Bowls, or are they bound to figure it out and make a deep run like they always do?
It’s still very early in the season, and as they have proven time and again in years past, it’s not wise to bet against the Chiefs when Mahomes is under center. However, they need to get into the win column sooner rather than later. Kansas City will have its best shot to earn its first win of the season in Week 3, as it will take on the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.
