Oliver (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday. Oliver never returned after exiting with an ankle injury during the second half of a 23-13 win over the Titans on Sunday. He's curiously improved his pass-catching production since T.J. Hockenson returned from an ACL tear, continuing to get a lot of snaps in two-TE sets while Johnny Mundt has all but been pushed out of the offense. An Oliver absence for Week 12 at Chicago likely would mean more snaps and routes for both Hockenson and Mundt.
Addison (leg) wasn't listed on the Vikings' first Week 12 injury report Wednesday. Addison suffered from cramps in one of his legs during the fourth quarter this past Sunday at Tennessee, which forced him to miss the rest of the contest. He thus finished the Week 11 win with three catches (on eight targets) for 61 yards and one touchdown on a 60 percent snap share. With the issue now in the rearview mirror, though, Addison is good to go ahead of Sunday's game at Chicago.
Muse (hand) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday. Muse suffered a fractured hand in Week 2 and has been sidelined since. The South Carolina product will now have a 21-day window to practice with the team before needing to be added to the 53-man roster.
Smith recorded three solo tackles and two pass breakups, including an interception, in Sunday's 23-13 win over the Titans. The veteran safety also played on all 55 defensive snaps. Smith now has 53 tackles (32 solo), including 1.0 sacks, seven pass breakups, including two interceptions, and a fumble recovery in 2024.
Cashman recorded four tackles (two solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's 23-13 win over the Titans. The inside linebacker also played on all 55 defensive snaps. Cashman now has 49 tackles (25 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and five pass breakups in seven games this season.
Jones had five total tackles and two sacks in Sunday's win at Tennessee. It's Jones' third game this season with two sacks. He now has seven sacks this season after posting just five career sacks in his three previous seasons.
Van Ginkel had eight total tackles and two sacks in Sunday's win at Tennessee. Van Ginkel was limited by a hip injury in practice last week, but looked at full speed in the win. He had five total pressures on the quarterback, according to Pro Football Focus.
