Could Vikings Take Look at $48 Million. 20-Interception All-Pro CB?

The Minnesota Vikings still have an iffy-cornerback room.

They did sign former Steelers free agent corner James Pierre in March. However, the deal is only for two years. Isaiah Rodgers Sr. will also be a free agent after the 2026 season. That makes James Pierre and Byron Murphy Jr. the only corners on the assumed 53-man roster contracted through 2027.

Minnesota could look to the 2026 NFL Draft to supplement the need. There is also former All-Pro available if they want to try a reclamation project.

Vikings Could Take Look at Former Cowboys All-Pro CB Trevon Diggs

While there is no actual reporting nor steam on Diggs to Minnesota, it could be worth a look for the Vikings. Diggs hasn’t been the same CB in a couple seasons, but there could still be some juice there.

Lior Lampert of The Landry Hat shared some insight into Trevon Diggs and his very inactive market.

The once-elite ball hawk became more of a liability than a playmaker, so Dallas took necessary action and released him in December.

The market ostensibly agrees, considering another squad isn’t taking a flier on Diggs. He landed a second chance with the Green Bay Packers, largely because of his connection to ex-Cowboys star Micah Parsons. Alas, that opportunity was incredibly short-lived, further proving Dallas right.”

The chances are low that Diggs returns to the play of his glory days, but it would still be an interesting story to watch unfold.

Minnesota Hosting Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq

Sports Illustrated‘s Bri Amaranthus confirmed that the Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq will be visiting the Minnesota Vikings.

Sadiq confirmed to Oregon Ducks on SI reporter Bri Amaranthus that he has visited the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles with additional visits scheduled to the Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings.

For a player who prides himself on versatility and football intelligence, the interest from multiple playoff-caliber organizations with first round selections speaks volumes.

The Vikings are needy long-term at tight end. T.J. Hockenson recently got his contract altered so that 2026 will be his final season in Minnesota. Josh Oliver’s contract goes through 2028. However, he’s more of a role-playing, blocking TE2.

Consider Dane Brugler’s takeaway in his yearly epic on The Athletic, The Beast“.

“Sadiq has mismatch-creating potential in the NFL, because of his ability to out-quick and out-tough defenders as both a pass catcher and blocker. He projects as a versatile, Vernon Davis-like weapon and has his best football ahead of him.”

Sadiq would surely be an intriguing weapon in an already-loaded Vikings offensive arsenal.
