The New York Jets are in London to play the Denver Broncos in Week 6.
Ahead of the game, the green and white announced their full inactive list on social media.
Veteran running back and return specialist Khalil Herbert is a healthy scratch for this game. Plus, the talented 6-foot-7 pass catcher Jelani Woods remains on ice.
Jets Are Receiving Trade Calls Ahead of the NFL Deadline
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport revealed on Sunday, October 12, that the Jets have been receiving trade calls from other teams ahead of the November 4 NFL deadline.
“Teams have called the Jets and Titans about potential trades, which is not a surprise given their combined 1-9 record. Tennessee remains open for business, and after the Jets return from London, where they play the Broncos on Sunday, they’ll regroup and assess where they are. Trades are possible, but don’t be surprised if teams without great records acquire talent for future years, as the Jets recently did when they traded for Titans CB Jarvis Brownlee Jr. Good value is good value,” Rapoport explained.
Rapoport also said that running back Breece Hall is “expected” to garner interest around the league. However, Hall did emphatically tell the media this week that he wants to remain a Jet despite the rumors.
Jets Held Players Only Meeting Before International Trip
Jermaine Johnson is returning to the Jets’ lineup for the first time since Week 2. However, he flexed his muscles off the field with a players-only meeting to try and clean things up on defense.
“Everybody was on the same page,” Johnson told reporters in London via ESPN’s Rich Cimini. “We have to be better. We can’t be the reason we lose. That can’t happen. We have too much talent. Coach AG (Aaron Glenn) has had our back as far as how he runs this thing, instilling a certain culture in here. We have to have his back by putting a good product out there. That’s our job. We definitely take full accountability.”
A fan on social media re-shared the old J.J. Watt quote on his take on players’ only meetings:
“If you’re at players-only meetings point, go ahead and book your January vacations… It is over,” Watt said.
Jets WR Room Getting Some Reinforcements Ahead of Broncos Tilt
On Saturday, October 11, the Jets elevated a pair of wide receivers from the practice squad: Brandon Smith and Isaiah Williams.
The Jets are giving Williams a second chance after he made a slew of mistakes in Week 4 that cost his team dearly on special teams.
Jets senior reporter Eric Allen wrote in the press release, “Smith (6-1, 218) led the team with 10 catches during the 2025 preseason for 113 yards. Last season, Smith, who signed a reserve/futures contract with the Jets in January, was elevated to the active roster for a Week 15 contest against the Jaguars. Smith previously played with the D.C. Defenders of the UFL where he had 18 catches, 208 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Iowa product also spent time on the Cowboys’ and Cardinals’ rosters, but he did not appear in any regular season games.”
