The Seattle Seahawks suffered what appeared to be a serious injury when he was carted off the field during a joint practice with the Tennessee Titans in Nashville.

“Seahawks WR Jake Bobo was carted off the practice field in Nashville a few minutes ago. He went down after a target near the sideline and was getting his right leg looked at.” ESPN’s Brady Henderson reported on Friday.

In speaking to the media after the practice, McDonald told reporters that Bobo had suffered a serious knee injury.

Coach Mike Macdonald says it’s a major knee injury for WR Jake Bobo. Says heart goes out to beloved Seahawks player. Both teams took a knee, said a prayer for Bobo.” Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune posted on X on Friday.

With Bobo seemingly facing will likely be a lengthy – and unfortunately, quite possibly a season-ending spell on the sidelines, the Emerald City Spectrum believes that this will ensure that 2025 undrafted free agent Montorie Foster Jr. makes the roster, with the door also being opened for the additional retention of 2020 UDFA Cody White.

“If Jake Bobo is out for a significant period of time, I think you can put Montorie Foster Jr. as a lock to make #Seahawks 53. Probably keep both him and Cody White in that case.” Smith wrote on X.

Hard Knocks star Montorie Foster Jr. lead the team in receiving yards during their preseason opener last Saturday, a 17-7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys at Lumin Field. He hauled in 5 receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown.

Even prior to the game, Foster was being touted as one of the rising stars in Seahawks training camp, with many – ironically – touting him as being this offseason’s Jake Bobo, who made waves as a rookie after signing as an undrafted free agent back in 2023.

When asked about Foster back on Aug. 8, safety A.J. Finley was singing the second year pro’s praises.

“That guy’s electric,” Finley said when asked about Foster. “It feels like he makes a play almost every day. But he’s definitely putting a lot of good stuff on tape.”

Foster’s spotlight from the Hard Knocks crew and slow rise to stardom; at least within the Seattle fanbase; also came as a result of the fact that the 25-year old renewed his real estate license and pursued a second career selling houses this offseason.

Although, from his own words, it appears that his NFL prospects look a lot brighter.

“I brought my Super Bowl ring to the open houses. Haven’t made a sale yet, but we got some stuff brewing.” Foster said on Hard Knocks.

With Foster’s roster spot now a near certainty, he may have to put down his property-selling dreams for the next few months as he and the rest of the organization pursue a championship defense that kicks off in a replay of Super Bowl LX on Aug. 9.
