Minutes after a monster NFL free-agent signing of John Franklin-Myers, the Tennessee Titans kept the momentum rolling by agreeing to a three-year, $60 million deal with former New Orleans Saints cornerback Alontae Taylor, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

Two of the biggest Titans’ offseason priorities were addressed by GM Mike Borgonzi in back-to-back gigantic signings. The Tennessee Titans needed plenty of roster help, and they’re on their way to putting many puzzle pieces together under new head coach Robert Saleh.

Tennessee Titans Sign Former New Orleans Saints Corner Alontae Taylor

A second-round pick in 2022, the 27-year-old Taylor proved his worth over four seasons in New Orleans — totaling four interceptions, seven sacks, and 293 tackles in 64 career games while emerging as one of the league’s most well-rounded corners.

Taylor joins an exclusive club with Tariq Woolen and Patrick Surtain II as the only corners to notch 10-plus passes defensed in four consecutive seasons. In 2025 alone, he posted 59 combined tackles, 2.0 sacks, and 2 interceptions for 21 return yards.

The Titans desperately needed help at corner, and they went out and got the guy who called himself the “best free-agent corner” available.

L’Jarius Sneed’s Titans future is very much in doubt after injuries limited him to just seven games in the 2025 season with a PFF grade of 50.4, and his four-year, $76.4 million contract could generate $11.4 million in cap savings if the team moves on.

The Titans also didn’t bring back Darrell Baker Jr. today, who started nine games in 2024 and was re-signed last March but is no longer on the roster. It’s possible the Titans get Baker back on a cheaper deal. Taylor immediately steps in as the Titans’ CB1 and gives Mike Borgonzi’s retooled defense a legitimate playmaker on the outside.

What’s Next For the Tennessee Titans Offseason?

In addition to Alontae Taylor and John Franklin-Myers, the Titans have now signed a handful of players on Monday. The team shored up its backup quarterback woes by bringing in Mitchell Trubisky earlier this afternoon, and also signed Daniel Bellinger to add some depth to the tight end room. Perhaps that’s Chig Okonkwo insurance in case a deal can’t be struck for him to remain a Tennessee Titan?

The biggest move on the offensive side of the ball came after the Titans signed free agent receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, who will be back running routes under his former head coach, Brian Daboll.

Robinson has been linked to the Titans for what feels like a decade, and he’s fresh off a career season. Robinson tallied over 1,000 yards for the New York Giants, and he’ll join a Titans team that is desperate for a playmaker like Robinson.

It’ll be fascinating to see whether or not the team cuts ties with Calvin Ridley or gives him another go. You can do a lot worse than Ridley, Robinson, Pro-Bowler Chimere Dike, and Elic Ayomanor as your wide receiver room.

Arguably, the most pressing Titans’ need is at the center position, as the market really dried up over the past couple of days. Who will be snapping the football to Cam Ward? Maybe we’ll find out by the end of the business day.
