Thursday’s second-round action at SW19 has concluded, and while both the Monfils-Fucsovics match and the Shelton-Hijikata match have been suspended until Friday, 14 other matches have wrapped up.

The day notably saw World No. 1 Jannik Sinner, and seven-time Wimbledon winner Novak Djokovic both pick up straight-set wins to advance to the third round.

In the case of Sinner, the Italian star picked up a straight-set win (6-1, 6-1, 6-3) over Aleksandar Vukic, punching his ticket to a third-round meeting with Pedro Martinez on Saturday.

Sinner played a near-flawless match, posting zero double faults while winning six of nine break points.

In the case of Djokovic, the all-time great emerged victorious from his Centre Court match against Dan Evans without dropping a set (6-3, 6-2, 6-0).

With his win, Djokovic now punches his ticket to a third-round meeting with fellow Serbian Miomir Kecmanović, who picked up a convincing win over Jasper De Jong today on Court 15.

Additionally, No. 11 seed Alex de Minaur, who is looking to build on a quarterfinal appearance at Wimbledon 2024, picked up a big win (4-6, 6-2, 6-4, 6-0) over Arthur Cazaux, earning him a spot on Saturday’s third-round schedule

World No. 4 Jack Draper and Tommy Paul Suffer Staggering Upsets

Much like days one and two, day four of ATP Wimbledon action saw several top-seeded players come up short.

On Thursday, World No. 4 Jack Draper wound up losing a hard-fought four-set match to 2017 Wimbledon finalist Marin Čilić, who entered this year’s tournament ranked No. 83 in the world.

With his three children sitting in the crowd, Čilić played an impressive match to secure a spot in the third round, where he’ll face off with Jaume Munar.

Additionally, the No. 13 seed, Tommy Paul, was on the wrong end of a staggering upset as Austrian standout Sebastian Ofner picked up a four-set win, tying his best result at SW19 eight years after his first third-round appearance in 2017.
