A gunman has been reported on campus at North Carolina Agricultural and Technological State University, reports WFMY News. The school was on lockdown.

Here’s what you need to know:
1. Students Have Been Sent a Warning Text
Students were sent a warning text just after 10:30 a.m. warning them of a possible gunman in the General Classroom building. According to WXII, campus police received a call about a gunman at 9:57 a.m.
2. The Suspect is an Hispanic Male

The text said the suspect was an hispanic male. He’s believed to be carrying a rifle.
3. A Shelter-in-Place is in Effect

There is a shelter-in-place order for the school’s staff and students. Despite the order, some buildings are being evacuated, reports WFMY. Those buildings are Crosby, Barnes and Merrick Halls.
4. No Shots Have Been Fired
We have no reports of any injuries or shots fired at this time. Cops in the college are sweeping the college.
5. It’s the Largest Historically Black College in North Carolina
The school is the alma-mater of astronaut Ronald McNair. The historically black college is located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Back in 2013, the school was locked down after two faculty members said they saw an armed man on campus. The reports prompted a lockdown but officials found the man was carrying an umbrella, reports My Fox 8.
