Liverpool have been excellent at home against German clubs, and need better than a draw to advance to the last 16 of Europa League. After a scoreless draw against Augsburg last week, Jurgen Klopp’s men have had the week off before today and a League Cup final in three days.

Liverpool have nine wins in 12 matches against German opponents at home, including three straight wins. But the squad have failed at this stage of the competition in their last two attempts, falling last season on penalty kicks to Besiktas.

Augsburg have never been to the last 16 of Europa League. The Germans will be without Raul Bobadilla, who has scored six goals in Europa League but suffered a thigh injury during the first leg last week.
