Myles Price: Everything you need to know

Price (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Packers, Dane Mizutani of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Price didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday and is now in line to miss his first game of the season Sunday. The undrafted rookie from Indiana had a solid year while operating as the Vikings' primary return man, tallying 1,479 kick-return yards (third-most in the NFL) and 298 punt-return yards across 16 games. In his absence, expect Ty Chandler to operate as the Vikings' top return specialist in Week 18.

Price (ankle) was a non-participant in practice Wednesday. Price hurt his ankle Christmas Day versus Detroit and hasn't recovered enough to practice. With that in mind, it's uncertain if he'll be able to play in the Vikings' season finale against Green Bay on Sunday. Price has had just a bit role on offense this season, but he's been working as Minnesota's primary kick- and punt-returner, so he'd have to be replaced in those capacities if he can't suit up Sunday.

Price suffered an ankle injury during the opening kickoff of Thursday's divisional matchup and will not retake the field. His next opportunity to return to action will come Sunday, Jan. 4 versus the Packers in Week 18.
