While fans didn’t expect to see Steinfeld or the 2024 NFL MVP in public so soon after giving birth, the famous couple couldn’t miss one very special event — Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold’s wedding to Katie Hoofnagle at Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa in Southern California on April 3.
It’s unclear exactly when their baby girl arrived. Steinfeld was still pregnant during the Academy Awards on March 15, so she gave birth sometime between then and April 2. Either way, the Oscar-nominated actress glowed in a black dress at Allen’s best friend’s wedding in Southern California.

Allen returned to Buffalo for the first day of voluntary workouts on April 7, while Steinfeld announced her new partnership with Ashley Luxe furniture that same day. In an interview with Architectural Digest, which took place just before she gave birth, Steinfeld opened up her home life with Allen.
The new mom is also ready to return to the big screen. After the historic success of the movie “Sinners,” Steinfeld is lined up to appear in another big hit during the 2026 NFL season.

Disney announced that Steinfeld will star alongside Rashida Jones in the upcoming animated movie, “Hexed.” The big news dropped during the company’s presentation at CinemaCon on April 16, Variety reported.
The movie’s storyline “follows a teenage oddball and her Type A mom, who discovers her weirdness is actually hidden magic, transporting them to a world where magic can run free.” Steinfeld will voice the teenager, Billie. “Hexed,” directed by Josie Trinidad and Jason Hand, is set hit theaters on November 25, 2026, one day before Thanksgiving.
Steinfeld is a veteran voice actor. She famously voices Gwen Stacy in the animated “Spider-Man” movies and Vi in the TV series, “Arcane.”

Steinfeld has another film in pre-production, per IMDB. The Hollywood Reporter announced last summer that Steinfeld is starring opposite Miles Teller in the movie, “Winter Games,” directed by Paul Downs Colaizzo, who co-wrote the script with Patrick Cunnane.
“The story is set in the high-stakes arena of the Winter Olympic Games and, per the studio, centers on a perpetually overlooked skier and a self-sabotaging hockey legend that collide at their breaking points,” THR wrote of the movie. “Their unexpected connection threatens her chance for a medal and his shot at a comeback as they navigate romance and redemption in the Olympic Village.”
While it’s unclear when the movie starts filming and an expected release date was not announced, Steinfeld fans were thrilled over the new project.
