Experience

Tim's experience spans multiple areas of motorsports, writing and broadcasting. Starting in 1994, he became an announcer and program writer for Lancaster (NY) National Speedway & Dragway and Ransomville Speedway. He was also the announcer at Wyoming County International Speedway.

During the week, he was the Airborne Traffic Reporter for WGR Sports Radio 55 in Buffalo. A move to Mooresville, NC in 2000 was done to become an award-winning journalist for NASCAR.com before joining Dale Earnhardt, Inc. as the Communications Director.

The DEI days yielded two Daytona 500 Championships (Micheal Waltrip - 2003, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. - 2004) and two NASCAR NXS Championships (Martin Truex, Jr. in 2004 and 2005) From there, the announcing experience led to becoming the News Director and a Pit Reporter for MRN Radio.

A return to the team side took place with Richard Childress Racing as the Director of Corporate Communications, and another NASCAR NXS championship (Austin Dillon - 2014). During that time, Tim worked closely with NASCAR Hall of Fame owner Richard Childress creating speeches for various appearances and media requests.

From 2015 to 2018, he returned to Lancaster Speedway as the Track President. In 2016 and 2017, he was awarded the Short Track Promoter of the Year, an honor he shares with all involved with track.

Returning to NC, Tim joined The Garage Shop as the Communication Director and host of its podcast and hosted their docuseries on Racer Network called "Legacy of Speed" covering the team's Land Speed Racing endeavor, including the famed Bonneville Salts Flats.

Tim has also hosted two other podcasts, namely "Pub Table Racers" on Facebook and YouTube. He still resides in Mooresville, NC and is very much looking forward to providing Heavy.com readers with insightful NASCAR coverage.

Another endeavor, this one away from racing, Tim became an actor/background actor in TV, Movies and Commercials. Recent works include "The Righteous Gemstones," "The Hunting Wives" and "Naked Gun," for a total of 29 TV shows, nine movies and six commercials.

He is a proud veteran of the US Navy.
