Robert Peralta Forced Off UFC on FX in Sydney Due to Injury

Mackens Semerzier vs. Robert Peralta

Peralta out of UFC on FX 2 with foot injury

Robert Peralta has been forced out of his bout against Mackens Semerzier at UFC on FX: Alves vs. Kampmann due to injury.

MMAjunkie.com confirmed the news late last week, and the fight has been removed from the card at UFC.com.

Peralta’s manager told MMA Junkie the fighter was dealing with several broken toes, which occurred during his training.

The featherweight contest was set to be a rematch of their contest from UFC on Fox: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos. The original result of the contest was a technical knockout win for Peralta, but it was later overturned by the California State Athletic Commission to a no contest after it was clear that an accidental head butt had led to the result.

UFC on FX 2 is set for March 3 in Sydney, Australia. The UFC has yet to officially announced Peralta’s injury, but a search for a replacement to fight Semerzier is likely underway.
