Security was high at Trinidad High School in Trinidad, Colorado, on Thursday after police believed two students were plotting a school shooting.
Police Chief Charles Glorioso told The Denver Post on Friday that two students, 15 and 16, had been arrested for planning to carry out a shooting at the school after winter break.
A tipster warned police that the younger of the two alleged planners, the unnamed 15-year-old student, idolized previous Colorado mass shooters Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, who carried out the attack on Columbine High School in 1999, and James Holmes who killed 12 people at a Colorado movie theatre in 2012.
Glorioso did not say how the boys planned on carrying out the attack, but did say that a search of their houses turned up no weapons.
