On July 10, Leah Remini: It’s All Relative, a reality show starring Leah Remini and her family, premieres.
Her husband of 10 years, Angelo Pagan, will be right beside her, as they raise a 9-year-old daughter, Sofia.
Let’s learn more about the Bronx native who fell in love with the actress from Brooklyn.
1. He Met Leah at a Nightclub
They met at a Cuban club and restaurant in Hollywood called El Floridita.
Their July 2003 wedding was filmed for a VH1 special.
Remini’s vows, shown above, which were filled with laughs and tears, included:
Angelo I absolutely love you. I loved you from the moment I saw you. From you, it took a little longer. I love your voice, I love your smile, your dimples. I’m jealous of your beautiful skin. And how it easy it is for you to lose weight.
Pagan returned the sentiments, and responded:
It’s taken us almost eight years to get here. And now I’m finally certain that you’re not marrying me for my money. Leah, I am with you today as the person that you helped me become. I am humbled by your honesty and touched by your generosity, and I’m awed by your integrity.
2. He’s a Singer
He was in a band called Salsa Caliente. The group performed on the club circuit.
At one point, he even opened for CC Music Factory.
In 2001, he released an album, No Tengas Miedo.
3. He Guest Starred on ‘King of Queens’
In the video clip above from the sitcom, we see Pagan dancing in Remini’s character, Carrie’s, dream.
In the fantasy sequence, her husband Doug, played by Kevin James, dies, and his doctor, played by Pagan, consoles her.
In total, Pagan was in six episodes as five different characters.
His imdb page is filled with various television roles.
4. He’s a Reality Star
In the preview video above for their new show, someone tells Pagan, “Angelo, your wife has snapped.”
From the promo, we see their family life is never boring, filled with laughs, tears, hugs, and screaming.
Through it all, the strong relationship between Pagan and Remini is apparent on screen.
This is not the first time, Pagan has welcomed cameras into his life. Besides his wedding, the birth of his daughter was also featured on VH1.
5. He Owns a Diner in L.A.
In 1999, Pagan took over the well-known eatery Vivian’s Millennium Cafe.
Located in Studio City, California, the diner was featured in the commercial above.
