Three people won the $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot on Wednesday, January 13. The winners are from Tennessee, Florida, and Chino Hills, California. This Powerball was the largest jackpot yet in Powerball history. The three winners are going to split the pot, which would be about $930 million before taxes if a lump sum were taken. The odds of winning were very slight at around 1 in 297 million. What does that mean? It means that you would have had a better chance of getting struck by lightning twice or having a car wreck on your way to buy your lottery ticket than of actually winning. But despite the crazy odds, three people still walked away with the win. Click through the gallery to find out what we know so far about the lottery winners, including the Robinsons, who appeared on the Today show saying they were the winners in Tennessee. (Powerball)
