One week after the deadly Pulse nightclub shooting, about 50,000 people gathered in Orlando on Sunday to pay tribute to the dead. According to The New York Times, the crowd was so large that it spilled onto the sidewalk and onto nearby staircases. Community leaders and activists delivered emotional speeches, friends and family held candles, and the names of everyone we lost were read aloud. Hoping to combat the hate of the shooter, mourners were adorned in colorful clothing, holding signs decorated with hearts and peace symbols. Here are some of the photos from the recent Orlando vigil.
