The NFL finally saw the first shutout of the season when the Seattle Seahawks throttled a punchless Chicago Bears squad 26-0 in Week 3.

Other than that, it was business as usual with 9 teams scoring at least 30 points, including two hitting 40 (Bills and Vikings) and the Patriots putting up 51 on Jacksonville.

Defense is playing catchup as offenses are dictating the pace of the game. It’s just the way things are these days. There have only been a handful of defenses who have been able to play well all season.

Here are some other numbers from Week 3 which show how much offense is dominating:

— There were 12 300-yard passers and at least 21 QBs threw for 260 yards
— There were 8 100-yard rushers and 7 players ran for multiple touchdowns (4 had 3 TDs)
— Nineteen (19) receivers had 100-yard games and 8 players caught multiple scores
All three of those totals were the highest so far this year

Each week I’ll be posting fantasy football rankings for quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends and defenses/special teams. Bookmark our fantasy football rankings 2015 page to keep up-to-date on the latest projections and rankings so you know you who to start and who to sit.
