The Atlanta Braves are currently home for the offseason.

Despite a strong 2026 regular season, they lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 4 of the NLDS.

With their season over, it’s worth taking a look at Raisel Iglesias.

The All-Star pitcher finished the year going 1-2 with a 2.55 ERA in 59 games (with 34 saves).

He will also be a free agent who is available to sign with any team in the MLB (this winter).

Looking At Iglesias In Atlanta

Iglesias has been with the Braves for part of five seasons.

This past season, he made the first All-Star Game of his MLB career.

The Braves acquired the 36-year-old in a trade (via the Los Angeles Angels in 2022).

MLB.com wrote (on August 2, 2022): “Los Angeles Angels traded RHP Raisel Iglesias to Atlanta Braves for RHP Jesse Chavez and LHP Tucker Davidson.”

Iglesias was paid $16 million during the 2026 season by the Braves.

He also has over $109 million in career earnings (h/t Spotrac).

It will be interesting to see what kind of deal Iglesias gets this winter.

Looking At His Other Stops

Iglesias pitched part of one season for the Angels before getting sent to Atlanta.

He had spent the first six years of his MLB career on the Cincinnati Reds.

Over 659 career games (and 16 seasons), Iglesias has gone 43-57 with a 2.87 ERA (and 287 saves).

Looking At The Braves

The Braves finished the 2026 season with a 94-68 record.

They won the National League East division title in Walt Weiss’ first year at the helm.

The franchise last won a World Series during the 2021 season when they beat the Houston Astros.
