Raisel Iglesias: Breaking News

Iglesias secured the save Saturday against the Pirates, allowing no runs on one hit and no walk in the ninth inning. He struck out one. That's now eight straight outings with a strikeout for Iglesias, who's been a lights-out closer for Atlanta when healthy in 2026. The veteran right-hander has rattled off 19 scoreless appearances through 20 outings on the year. Through 20.2 innings, Iglesias boasts a 0.87 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 24:4 K:BB while going a pristine 13-for-13 in save opportunities.

Iglesias notched a save in Friday's win over the Pirates. He tossed a scoreless ninth inning while allowing a hit and a walk, striking out one. Iglesias has been one of the best closers in the majors this season and has gone 12-for-12 in save chances thus far. This time, he needed 19 pitches (12 strikes) to get the job done while holding a three-run lead, though he did allow two hitters to get on base. Iglesias has given up just two runs all season long, posting a 0.92 ERA and 0.97 WHIP across 19.2 innings in 19 outings in 2026.

Iglesias earned the save in Tuesday's 4-3 win over Toronto, allowing two hits while striking out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning. Iglesias didn't make things easy for himself after allowing singles to two of the first three batters he faced in the ninth, but he came away with his 11th save of the season after getting the next two hitters to pop out. His save against the Red Sox on May 26 is Iglesias' only outing this season in which he's given up runs. He has a 0.96 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 22:3 K:BB across 18.2 innings this season.
