Thursday’s game between the Atlanta Braves and Miami Marlins at Truist Park in Atlanta has entered a delay in the fourth inning due to inclement weather.

Via MLB .com’s Christina De Nicola (Miami Marlins reporter) on X: “We are going into a rain delay in Atlanta. We would’ve been too lucky to avoid this three straight games in August.”

Braves Take 2-0 Lead Over Marlins on Thursday

Right before the delay hit, Braves star right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr. hit a two-run home run to left-center field off Marlins right-hander Janson Junk.

Acuña, Drake Baldwin, Matt Olson, Mauricio Dubón and Dominic Smith each collected a hit before the delay.

Martín Pérez started the game for Atlanta. So far, he has thrown three no-hit innings with one walk and three strikeouts. If this is a long delay, Pérez will most likely be taken out of the game.

For Miami, Junk has allowed five hits and one walk with one strikeout over three innings.

Atlanta Braves Right Now

The Braves won the first two games of the three-game set against Miami. The Braves scored two runs in both games.

Tomorrow, Atlanta will begin a three-game series against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.

The Braves are in first place in the National League East with a 69-45 record. They hold an 8 1/2-game lead over the second-place Philadelphia Phillies.

Miami Marlins

Tomorrow, the Marlins will begin a three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels at LoanDepot Park in Miami.

The Marlins have a 58-57 record. They are 11 1/2 games back of the Braves for first place in the National League East and three games back of the final National League Wild Card spot.
