Junk (3-5) earned the win Monday, allowing one run on eight hits and no walks over five innings against the Blue Jays. He struck out three. Junk allowed his fair share of traffic but was able to limit the damage, allowing just one run while capturing his first win since April 28. Monday's outing snapped a nightmarish three-start stretch for the 30-year-old, who had surrendered 19 runs over his previous 16.2 innings. Junk will carry a 4.80 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 43:13 K:BB across 60 innings (11 starts) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Sunday against the Mets.

Junk (2-5) took the loss Wednesday against Atlanta, allowing eight runs on eight hits and no walks in five innings. He struck out three. Junk poured in 62 of his 88 pitches for strikes Wednesday, but he might have been too aggressive in pounding the zone. The 30-year-old right-hander was tagged for a season-worst eight runs, and he's now served up six home runs over four starts in the month of May after giving up only a pair of homers in his previous six outings. Junk will be trying to keep the ball in the park during his next scheduled appearance in Toronto, where he'll bring a 5.07 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 40:13 K:BB over 55 innings.

Junk (2-4) took the loss against the Rays on Friday, allowing seven runs on 10 hits and three walks while striking out four across 5.2 innings. It was a disastrous outing for Junk, who gave up two runs in three of the first four innings of Friday's game, starting with a two-run homer by Yandy Diaz in the first. The right-hander gave up a solo homer to Cedric Mullins in the sixth before being pulled, and Junk ended his day with season highs in hits, runs and homers allowed. He's allowed 11 earned runs over his last two starts and now sits at a 4.14 ERA and 1.24 WHIP across 50 innings this season. Junk is slated to take on Atlanta next week at home.
