Drake Baldwin: Breaking News

Baldwin went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI in Friday's win over the Guardians. The second-year backstop continued his blistering start to the season, driving in a run for a fifth straight game to give him an MLB-leading 16 RBI on the season, tied with the Dodgers' Andy Pages. Through 64 plate appearances, Baldwin is also slashing .328/.391/.621 with two doubles, five homers and 14 runs.

Baldwin went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Monday in a loss to the Angels. Baldwin gave Atlanta a quick lead with a solo homer in the first inning. He added a single to finish as the only Atlanta player with multiple hits in the loss. Baldwin has followed up his Rookie of the Year 2025 campaign with a blistering start to 2026, slashing .318/.388/.682 through 49 plate appearances. His five long balls and 13 RBI are each tied for the top mark in MLB.

Baldwin went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and four RBI in Sunday's extra-inning loss against the Diamondbacks. Baldwin powered Atlanta's offense, accounting for four of the team's five runs in the contest. The 25-year-old catcher got things started early with a solo homer, his fourth of the season, as the second batter of the game and added a pair of RBI singles, including a clutch knock in the ninth inning to tie the game. The hot start continues for Baldwin, who is now slashing .300/.378/.625 with 12 RBI across his first 45 plate appearances during his second season in the majors.
