
The Cleveland Guardians are opening up a new series in MLB this week against the Los Angeles Angels (on the road). Currently, with a 65-66 record, the Guardians hold a spot in the AL Wild Card standings and are in 2nd place in the AL Central, just behind the Chicago White Sox.
The Guards are fresh off a sweep of the Colorado Rockies over the weekend.
Before the Angels series opener on Monday, the Guardians announced a last-minute Chase DeLauter decision.

Chase DeLauter Scratched on Monday

Per the lineup reports, Chase DeLauter has been scratched on Monday evening, just minutes before the Angels series began.
@UnderdogMLB hit the news quickly and revealed the updated Guardians lineup:
Updated Guardians 8/24: “S. Kwan LF J. Ramírez 3B J. Adell DH N. Lowe 1B A. Genao 2B A. Martinez RF P. Halpin CF A. Hedges C B. Rocchio SS P. Messick SP”
Other lineup notes include Austin Hedges forming a battery with Parker Messick, Jo Adell batting third and DHing, and Angel Genao batting fifth and playing 2B.
Looking at Chase DeLauter This Season

Chase DeLauter has burst onto the scene for the Cleveland Guardians as a rookie.
Over 110 games, he’s having a very productive campaign thus far.
DeLauter is batting .288 with 13 home runs, 22 doubles, three triples, 59 RBI, and 9 stolen bases to total an OPS+ of 130, which is a very strong mark for a rookie.
