During Saturday’s game, the Dodgers announced that Mookie Betts had suffered an injury.
They wrote: “Mookie Betts left today’s game with right low back pain.”
Betts had entered the day batting .179 with two home runs, seven RBI’s and six runs in the team’s first seven games.

Betts is in his seventh year playing for the Dodgers.
He had spent the first six seasons of his career with the Boston Red Sox, helping lead them to the 2018 World Series Championship.
With the Dodgers, he has won another three titles.
Last season, Betts batted .258 with 20 home runs, 82 RBI’s, 95 runs and eight stolen bases.
The Dodgers came into the day with a 5-2 record in their first seven games of the season.
They have won the World Series in each of the previous two years.
Following the Nationals, the Dodgers will visit the Blue Jays on April 6 in Toronto.
