Miguel Rojas: Breaking News

Rojas will consider continuing his playing career in 2027, but only if the Dodgers win the World Series this season, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports. Rojas has said previously that the 2026 season would be his last, but he's leaving the door cracked open in the event the Dodgers are going for a four-peat next season. The 37-year-old is still capable and is off to a strong start in 2026, slashing .341/.375/.477 with one home run and a 3:7 BB:K.

Rojas went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Monday's 12-3 victory versus the Rockies. Rojas gave the Dodgers their first lead with a second-inning solo shot immediately after Max Muncy tied the game with a solo blast of his own. Rojas added another RBI on a seventh-inning sacrifice bunt and finished with three total hits, tying his season-high mark. Though he's been in the lineup sporadically, Rojas has largely produced when called upon, slashing .382/.421/.529 through 39 plate appearances while providing his usual excellent defense.

Rojas (personal) will start at shortstop and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays. Rojas had been slated to start at shortstop in Tuesday's 4-1 win, but he ended up being scratched shortly before the game after learning of the sudden passing of his father. Though Rojas is back with the Dodgers and in the lineup Wednesday, he could go on bereavement list at some point in the coming days to tend to the personal matter.
