The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the hottest teams in MLB right now, as they usually are throughout the season.

Over the past week, the Dodgers swept the Colorado Rockies and Pittsburgh Pirates. Those were two series that LA should have won, and they took care of business, but this next week will be a tougher test, as the Dodgers are heading to Atlanta to take on the Atlanta Braves.

LA has Monday off and will begin their series with the Braves on Tuesday. During their day off, LA made a personal Kiké Hernández announcement!

Kiké Hernández turned 35 on Monday, August 25th!

The Dodgers X account made the following post:

Hernández has been a fan-favorite Dodgers player for several years, likely because of his charismatic attitude and endless big October moments in the MLB playoffs.

Kike Hernandez is one of the handful of current Dodgers players who have three World Series rings to their names. He has spent 10 seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and 2026 is his 13th overall season in MLB. Quickly hitting on Hernandez’s status with the Dodgers, he hasn’t played that much this season (mostly due to injury/ Dodgers depth all across the diamond), but it’s possible to see more of Kike as Andy Pages is sidelined for nearly a month.

Kiké Hernández has had so many memorable October moments that it wouldn’t be fair to leave it out of his career overview, but here are some highlights of his lifetime numbers/his tenure with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

He has played in 938 total games in a Dodgers uniform (during the regular season), and he’s batting .236 with 97 home runs, 126 doubles, 325 RBI with the Dodgers, as well as an OPS+ of 93 with LA.

He’s also played with the Boston Red Sox, Houston Astros, and Miami Marlins, but his career would likely be next to nothing without the Dodgers (and his October moments).

As far as career totals, Kike has clubbed 132 home runs in 1293 total games played with a lifetime batting average of .236 and a career OPS+ of 91. He has 475 total RBI, 202 doubles, 520 runs scored, and 885 career hits. Perhaps Hernandez is aiming for 1,000 career hits before calling it a career.

Happy Birthday Kike Hernandez!
