Following the 4-1 victory, and series victory, Bauers spoke to the media about his 12-pitch at-bat which resulted in his game-winning home run.
“That one felt good,” Bauers said after the game. “I got into the dugout, and I told Murph that might have been the best at-bat of my life. Obviously, it means a little more when you’re 12 pitches deep trying to get the job done.”
“I was just happy to get the job done and come through.”
