The Atlanta Hawks welcome the New York Knicks to State Farm Arena on Thursday for Game 3 of their first-round series matchup.

The Hawks evened the series 1-1 after their come-from-behind 107-106 win in Game 2, led by CJ McCollum, who scored 32 points and made some clutch baskets. Jonathan Kuminga was also huge on both ends of the floor, finishing with 19 points, four rebounds, two steals and one block.

Coach Quin Snyder’s team has been very luckywith injuries over the past two months. They have only one player on their injury report for Game 3 against the Knicks.

Jock Landale remains out due to a sprained right ankle and has not played since April 1, when he suffered the injury against the Orlando Magic. Landale missed the last five games of the regular season and has already been ruled out of the first round of the 2026 NBA playoffs.

The Hawks announced last week that Landale is making progress in his rehabilitation. He’s expected to be re-evaluated next week or at the end of April.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Hawks announced the two-way guard Keshon Gilbert underwent surgery on his core muscle last April 21. He is expected to be out until June and will be re-evaluated in about two months.

Gilbert signed a two-way contract with the Hawks on March 3. He played just one game for the Hawks on the final day of the regular season against the Miami Heat. He finished with 11 points and nine assists.

The 22-year-old guard went undrafted in last year’s draft. He was signed by the Washington Wizards to a training camp deal before getting waived before the start of the season. He went on to play for the Wizards’ G League affiliate.

Gilbert ended up playing three games for the Wizards before the All-Star break. He averaged 2.0 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists.

Hawks Not Feeling The Pressure

Despite having the opportunity to take control of the series in Games 3 and 4 at home, the Hawks are not feeling the pressure. Nickeil Alexander-Walker is not worried about having a tough start to the series. He has all the opportunity to find his rhythm and help his team take down the Knicks.

“Everybody knows I’m my own harshest critic,” Alexander-Walker said, via James Herbert of CBS Sports. “If it doesn’t work out, try again. But I have no pressure. And no matter what, this is the game I love. This is the opportunity of a lifetime. Just make the most of that.”

Even Jalen Johnson is feeling pretty confident, sending a message to the Knicks that the Hawks haven’t played their best basketball yet. Johnson was the team’s best player in the regular season, so he’s due for a big game.
