The Philadelphia Eagles have two major question marks heading into their Week 15 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Moreover, the Eagles are entering this contest against the Silver and Black on a three-game losing streak.

Philadelphia’s offense has struggled during this losing skid, scoring over 20 points only once in its last three straight defeats. As a result, having an injury on their offensive line isn’t an ideal situation to have in these final four games.

On December 10, the Eagles announced their injury report for that day’s practice session, with two notable absences. On offense, veteran offensive lineman Lane Johnson didn’t practice due to a foot issue.

Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball, Jalen Carter didn’t practice due to a shoulder problem. Both players’ situations will be monitored closely in the next couple of days, heading to gameday to see if the Eagles decide to hold them out as a precaution.

Pete Carroll Gives Update on Raiders QB Situation

The Eagles aren’t the only team dealing with an injury to a key position, as the Raiders have a question mark under center.

Geno Smith exited in the second half in the loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 14 due to an injury, allowing backup Kenny Pickett to step in. Pickett, a former first-round pick, completed 8 of 11 passes for 97 yards and threw one touchdown.

Head coach Pete Carroll shared the latest on the situation during his “1 on 1” appearance, published on December 9.

“I was really thrilled for [Pickett] to get a chance to play,” Carroll said. “He looked terrific in practice; he runs well, moves well, and throws the ball effectively on the move, which he showed in the game—scrambling for a first down, I believe. He might have missed his first three passes, but then hit seven or eight in a row; he came on really strong and finished on a good note.

“Now we have to see how Geno is—how banged up he is. He’s taken a lot of hits and has a few different things he’s working on to get back. We’ll see how that goes. Kenny will take over [on December 10] in practice and get going, and we’ll surely go slow with Geno as we bring him back.”

Raiders Announce Good News

The Raiders’ offensive line has been a weak spot all season, and losing their top player in Week 4 didn’t help. Starting left tackle Kolton Miller, the team’s longest-tenured and best offensive lineman, went down with an ankle injury late in the game against the Chicago Bears.

He suffered a hairline fracture, and many feared his season was finished. Despite that, Carroll has suggested Miller still has a chance to return this year. The Raiders are 2-11 and already out of playoff contention, so one might expect the team to be cautious with his recovery.

Yet Las Vegas seems ready to push forward. Miller has returned to practice, officially starting his 21-day window to rejoin the active roster. It will be interesting to see if he’s good to go before the Eagles game.
