Before the Super Bowl this year, multiple Los Angeles Rams players wished former franchise star and current Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp well against the New England Patriots.
Their positive energy prevailed, and Kupp emerged with his second Super Bowl win in as many trips to the big dance.
Kupp was more than a passenger on the night, too.
Former Rams WR Cooper Kupp Gets Strong Message

Kupp finished the Super Bowl with six receptions for 61 yards, as the ex-Rams star led the Seahawks and the Patriots in both categories for the contest.
Kupp signed with the Seahawks during the 2025 offseason after the Rams cut him and, ultimately, replaced him with Davante Adams. He still has plenty of support within the Rams’ facilities, though, including from fellow wideout Puka Nacua.
“Cooooooop,” Nacua posted on X on February 8 as the Seahawks were en route to the big win.
The Rams lost to Kupp and the Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game. Even after that, Nacua singled Kupp out when asked if he had well wishes for any players in the game
“I’m excited to watch you out there. Do your thing, man. You deserve this moment more than anybody. It’s an exciting journey that you’ve been on with your team,” Nacua said on the “Real Ones: The League” podcast on February 6. “You’ve been to the big dance. You understand what it takes, the mental capacity that it takes, and the physical capacity that it takes. And, hey, I hope you have the opportunity to hoist that trophy up.”
Nacua called Kupp “the man, the myth, the legend,” among other praises, but also put him on notice that they have some celebrating to do following the victory parade. Those are hardly the comments players often hold for their divisional foes.
It underscores just how much Kupp meant to the Rams.
Matthew Stafford Told Cooper Kupp to Win the Super Bowl

Kupp’s journey with the Rams and NFL career began as a third-round pick (No. 69 overall) in the 2017 draft. He led the NFL in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving TDs while earning Pro Bowl, First Team All-Pro, and Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2021.
Kupp and the Rams won the Super Bowl that season, with the wideout earning MVP honors in that game. That was also Matthew Stafford’s first season with the Rams.
Stafford, who still considers Kupp a close friend, told the playmaker to win the Super Bowl.
“Quit making me f****** look for you for so long,” Stafford told Kupp after searching for him in the aftermath of the NFC Championship Game. “Go win your godd*** Super Bowl, kid. You played great. Good s***, brother.”
Kupp took the Rams’ decision to cut ties with him personally, but it helped fuel him to a Super Bowl-winning season, albeit with an NFC West opponent.
Cooper Kupp’s Family Steals Show

Like Stafford, who stole the show with his family while accepting the MVP, Kupp drew attention with his family on the field after the Super Bowl.
“What it’s all about for @CooperKupp [face holding back tears emoji], the NFL posted on X, including a video of Kupp, his wife, Anna, and their three sons, noting in another post and clip that the kids “kids playing in the confetti is SO CUTE [face holding back tears emoji].”
Kupp was also the featured image on the NFL’s post that said to “read all about” the win.
Kupp responded, quoting the post and saying, “Say LX!” in celebration of helping the Seahawks win their second Super Bowl in franchise history.
Stafford and the Rams will face Kupp and the Seahawks twice next season, giving the wideout multiple opportunities for some friendly ribbing about doubling up his former teammate in Super Bowl rings.
