The injury list for the Miami Dolphins was massive heading into a tough road spot playing the Buffalo Bills on Thursday Night Football off of short rest. Defensive backs Storm Duck and Ifeatu Melifownu were both ruled out well before kick off with leg injuries for each.

Luckily, starter Ethan Bonner was cleared from his hamstring flare up and was a full participant at Wednesday’s practice.

All three players who entered Thursday questionable, Jaylen Waddle, Chop Robinson, and Benito Jones, have cleared their designation.

This does not mean that they will be 100%, however, they will be active in a cant lose game.

Additionally, the team announced that they have elevated safety Jordan Colbert off the practice squad for tonight’s contest with three defensive backs out.

Jaylen Waddle Limited All Week

After sitting out Monday with a shoulder injury that was believed to have been suffered in the preseason, Jaylen Waddle will be active tonight.

The shoulder visibly bothered him during the blowout loss Week 1. It was a story heading into last week’s game against the Patriots, but the receiver still performed well with five catches for 68 yards and a touchdown.

Coming into the game his questionable injury designation was hotly discussed. It wasn’t until NFL Network’s duo of Cameron Wolfe and Ian Rapaport spoke up that fans were allowed to feel optimistic about his outlook.

Reiterating what Wolfe said. Rapaport went on Good Morning Football to tell the panel that Miami is in a do or die spot and they know it. If they want to pull off the upset, and potentially save their season, it’s going to take all hands on deck. Knowing this, there was never really any doubt that Waddle would be a full go.

Jaylen Wright To Make Season Debut

Expect back up running back Jaylen Wright’s workload to be light. For an offense that is yet to get the running game going, Wright acts as a relief piece for starter De’Von Achane, rather than a change of pace.

He has sat out each of the first two weeks but is finally activated for his season debut tonight. With 11 days of rest after the game, expect Wright to play some snaps, knock the rust off, but not be leaned on heavily.

Dolphins Pass Rush Hasn’t Got Home Yet

The front four was supposed to be the strength of this Miami Dolphins team. So if you are wondering why this defense has been league worst through two weeks, look no further.

They have generated four sacks in two weeks, not great but not horrible. But they have allowed well over 100 yards rushing to both teams they’ve played. As far as pass rush win rate is concerned, the Phins are near the bottom of the league.

Now with Chop Robinson and Benito Jones being limited participants all week, the Dolphins are set up to be in a position where they are struggling to get to the quarterback yet again.
