Evan Cormier is a sports journalist who covers the NFL, NHL, and college football for Heavy Sports.
Evan's career began at Sacred Heart University in Bridgeport, Connecticut, when the then-teenage undergrad began writing for the university's newspaper. Months later, he was covering all sports on campus in an on-air capacity.
Evan covered the university's hockey and football team on cable television (SNY) and ESPN. He also did play-by-play and color commentary for the baseball, lacrosse, softball and volleyball teams.
Now Evan is an independent sports broadcaster and writer based in New York City.
Education
While playing quarterback for the Sacred Heart University Pioneers at the Division I level, Evan Cormier earned an accelerated master's degree in Sports Communication and Media Arts. Evan completed his bachelor's degree from SHU in 2023, with a minor in History, and nine months later graduated from SHU's master's program with a 3.2 GPA.
