Jordan Addison entered the NFL in 2023 as one of the most polished receivers in his draft class. Three seasons in, the Minnesota Vikings wideout has delivered consistent production on the field, netting just under 2,400 yards receiving and 22 touchdowns in 46 games.
Off the field, though, he’s had some glaring issues. Addison has now been arrested three times since 2023, most recently on January 12, in Tampa on a misdemeanor trespassing charge stemming from an incident at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
According to TMZ, Addison was asked to leave a restricted area and refused. The Vikings acknowledged the arrest and said they were gathering more information. Some analysts think his recent issues with the law make Addison a prime trade candidate.
Cole Smith Vikings Wire put together a “realistic” trade proposal that would send Addison to a talented AFC squad.
Vikings Trade Proposal Sends WR Jordan Addison to Baltimore Ravens for 3rd Round Pick

GettyA new trade proposal would send Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison to the Baltimore Ravens.
“Projecting Addison’s trade value is tricky,” Smith wrote on January 14. “He’s still on his rookie deal, making him cheap. … The Vikings could find him too reckless to retain, outweighing his undeniable talent.”
Smith thinks sending Addison to Baltimore in exchange for the Ravens’ 2026 3rd-round pick (80th overall) would be a good deal for both sides.
“Had he not had his most recent off-field snafu, Addison would no doubt warrant at least a Day 2 pick,” Smith noted, adding: “This trade would unite Addison with fellow 2023 first-round pick Zay Flowers and give Lamar Jackson another option to throw to.”
For Minnesota, trading Addison would help the team avoid making a decision on his extension, while also giving them a decent future pick. From Baltimore’s perspective, it would be a calculated risk on a proven young receiver with some glaring off-the-field issues.
The Tampa incident wasn’t an isolated one, and it follows two prior run-ins with law enforcement.
In July 2023, shortly after his rookie season began, Addison was cited for reckless driving in Minnesota after being clocked at 140 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone. The citation drew league attention but did not result in discipline from the league.
One year later, in July of 2024, the young wideout was arrested near Los Angeles after officers found him asleep behind the wheel on a freeway near LAX. He was initially charged with DUI. The NFL suspended Addison for the first three games of the 2025 season as a result.
Addison Will Likely Draw Interest if Vikings Put Him on the Block
On the field, Addison’s production has remained solid, although he did miss the first three games this year due to his aforementioned incident in 2024.
Here’s a look at his receiving stats over his first three seasons:
- 2023: 17 games, 70 catches, 911 yards, 10 touchdowns
- 2024: 15 games, 63 catches, 875 yards, nine touchdowns
- 2025: 14 games, 42 catches, 610 yards, three touchdowns
He also has two rushing scores in that span.
The Ravens do make a ton of sense as a trade partner for Addison. They have leaned heavily on Zay Flowers as their primary receiver, but they don’t really have a second perimeter threat. Addison’s ability to separate and win downfield would complement Flowers well, and it would give quarterback Lamar Jackson another reliable option.
While the Ravens make sense as a trade partner, other teams, including the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers could also be interested in adding a WR of Addison’s talents. We’ll see how it all shakes out this offseason.
